Ever thought about ordering yourself a tiny house and having it delivered in a shipping container?
But wait – the shipping container is the house!
Tiny House Talk tells MHProNews that G-Pod has developed a unique way to create a small house that can be installed anywhere. It comes on a flatbed trailer as shown below. In delivery mode, it’s tiny. The size of just one shipping container.
Once it’s set up, it has a slide out to extend the interior space and a flip down covered deck that opens up the space even more. There is grass growing on the roof and a solar panel to pick up energy from the sun.
The designers describe this model they call “Dwell” as an architecturally designed, relocatable home with a focus on environmental sustainability and impeccable build quality. They say that Dwell is easy to set-up, efficient and affordable. It is specifically designed to maximize the space that can be created from a standard ISO container structure.
Dwell employs a patented combination of pull-out sections and a spacious fold-down covered deck to quickly create a luxurious living environment anywhere you choose. The G-pod Dwell expands into an area nearly three times its original size and can operate off-grid and without water lines.
The Dwell can be used as a home, holiday home, office, additional room or bedroom, or just a space in which to relax and unwind. ##
