NBC News has been among the national media who’ve reported on the sinkholes in and near Holiday manufactured home community in Pasco County, near Tampa FL.
The first hole formed last week and was so large it swallowed a car, the vehicle being removed from the hole shown in the photo. But as the video report reveals, other residential neighborhoods and roadways in the area have experienced the same phenomenon.
WFLA – an NBC News affiliate – reported that “Pasco County spokesman Doug Tobin announced that sewer work nearby had been suspended but didn’t say the construction had caused the holes.”
Stress by area residents over where the next sink hole may appear is growing. “I hope they fix it and find out what’s going on,” said Pasco resident Debbie Adams, adding that the situation is “scary, very scary.” ##
