As follow-up to a story we posted Nov. 23, 2012 concerning a foundation’s offer to provide free modular housing to Staten Island survivors of Hurricane Sandy who are willing to move to New Milford, Conn., nearly a dozen families have so far responded to the offer. The Stephen Siller Tunnels to Tower Foundation in partnership with Faith Church is offering up to 25 completely furnished modular homes sited on the church grounds, including food and schools for those families with kids. Built by Factory Expo Homes of Virginia, the units will be ready for move-in Dec. 23. NBCConnecticut tells MHProNews the homes will be sold when no longer needed and the money will be returned to the fund.
