The information that follows was forwarded from the Ohio Manufactured Homes Association (OMHA) as a news tip to the Daily Business News on MHProNews.
It reflects data from the Midwest Manufactured Housing Federation (MMHF) states. It includes the so-called ‘birth place’ of manufactured home production in Indiana, and the states around it.
Note that 2 states dropped, 1 state rose, and the remaining 2 states were essentially flat.
The data should be an alarm that challenges the amen-corner that falsely claims that postures that ‘all is grand’ and that there is ‘momentum’ in manufactured housing. During an affordable housing crisis, how is it possible that the overall results for these 5 historically key states are down?
- 2017 totals for the 5 MMHF states are: 12,548.
- 2018 totals for the 5 MMHF states are: 12,210.
Furthermore, while most haven’t mentioned it, the number of homes on display at the 2019 Louisville Show was down from last year too.
Facts are what they are. BS from the Omaha-Knoxville-Arlington axis may seemingly talk, but it obviously doesn’t move the needle as needed. See the related reports, further below.
