Colin Wilhelm tells MHProNews that Discover Home Loan’s recent survey of home buyers revealed that 89% used online technology in their shopping and purchase process.
This mirrors studies by real estate agents that range from 90-94% of housing shoppers are using online resources.
Wilhem, writing in National Mortgage News, said “76% said technology made them a smarter homebuyer, and 69% said it increased their confidence in buying a home…” adding that “47% of homebuyers also said that technology helped them save money in their home purchase, and 92% said it helped them save time.”
For those manufactured housing professionals who are not marketing online or updating their website’s looks, tools and effectiveness, the study is another wake up call if the goal is to sell more homes. ##
