The South Pacific Ocean city of Gympie, just north of Brisbane, Australia is home to Gympie’s Wholesale Building Solutions, manufacturer of modular homes using a fire resistant, insulating foam panel. Karra Corbet bought the Australian rights to Polyphen, and on Sept. 8, the first completed modular residence was loaded onto a truck. The foam construction is conducive to alterations and additions. “If you want an air conditioner or another window, you cut a hole in the wall,” says Corbet. As gympietimes.com.au tells MHProNews, she has orders for 500 homes going to north Queensland and 3,000 for the Asia-Pacific region.
