Show Ways Unlimited, show management for the Midwest Manufactured Housing Federation (MMHF) that puts on the Louisville Manufactured Housing Trade Show has informed MHProNews that Friday has been canceled due to inclement weather.
As much as a foot of snow is forecast for Friday, and neighboring parts of the nation are being told by weather reporters that the snow fall from Friday through Sunday could reach 2 feet.
The Louisville Show will close today at 5:30 PM ET. Seminar rooms were busy on Wednesday morning. There are more homes on display than at any time in about a decade. The show was moved back to the South Wing of the sprawling Kentucky Expo Center (KEC) complex to accommodate all of the homes on display and the exhibitors.
While some on the show floor commented that it wasn’t until afternoon that they got busy, that may have been due in part to attendees in seminars hitting the displays and exhibits at about that time. MHProNews has been advised that a revised seminar schedule for 2017 may take effect, that would set the seminars to run the day prior to the show floor opening.
Show management stated that the early numbers were about 150 over last year’s totals. The MHIA 2000 mandated Manufactured Housing Consensus Committee (MHCC) was meeting with HUD officials at the KEC this year too. A post show report will be available in the coming days, as data lists and information are clarified and become available.
MHProNews, MHLivingNews and our website, video, consulting, marketing and sales coaching affiliates are at booth 215 all day Thursday. ##
