Every year for many years now, Darrell Boyd, Senior Vice President from Jacksonville, Florida based Triad Financial Services brings banks, credit unions, investors and other financial services professionals to the Louisville Manufactured Housing Show.
The goal?
To begin the process of introducing new capital to the market, or to reinforce for existing capital sources that Triad already partners with the realties vs. the myths of manufactured homes and manufactured housing lending.
During the 2017 Louisville Manufactured Housing Show, the Inside MH Road Show team interviewed Boyd and two of his guests at the event. Those lenders were Joel Braun, Executive Vice President and Chief Lending Officer and Ben Altonen, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer with Superior Choice Credit Union, headquartered in Superior, Wisconsin.
Sunshine Homes – based in Red Bay AL – allowed us to capture the video interview in one of their display models.
The video on this page will be the first in a series of videos from that event. This particular episode spotlights the impact of a proper understanding that manufactured homes can have.
But this latest episode in the Inside MH Road Show series also tees up a follow-up video that deals directly with an issue that is hot on the minds of thousands of manufactured housing industry professionals. That is the FHFA, the Government Sponsored Enterprises and the Duty to Serve manufactured housing.
Beyond a general understanding that they were being interviewed about manufactured housing, neither Boyd, nor his guests, knew the questions or the topics that were going to be covered by host L. A. ‘Tony’ Kovach.
As the industry grapples with image issues, consider the reaction and comments you see and hear from Braun and Altonen.
Consider too the wisdom of how Triad, Sunshine and ManufacturedHomes.com all collaborated with the Inside MH Road Show team to make a video like this possible.
This is Inside MH. ##

In the view of the publisher, the manufactured housing industry at large owes a debt of gratitude to John Bostick, Sunshine Homes, for his visionary support of this long overdue image and educational campaign.
