“Robert D. Galazia, 84, passed away the morning of Nov. 23, 2017, at his son’s residence,” the Vindy tells the Daily Business News.
“Born on March 31, 1934, in Youngstown, he was the son of the late John R. and Vera B. David Galazia,” the Vindicator’s report, datelined from Edinburg, PA, stated.
His wife of 17 years, the former Donna J. Litterini, whom he married on Nov. 27, 1999, are among the bereaved.
- Robert graduated from the College of Wooster in 1956
- He served his country as a member of the U.S. Army.
- Robert followed in the family business of manufactured homes, established in 1946.
- He owned Frank’s Mobile Homes and later launched Galazia Home Builders, with reportedly several locations in the Pennsylvania area.
- He also co-owned a hotel in Punta Gorda, Fla. with his father and Chuck Tanner.
“He belonged to Trinity Episcopal Church. Robert was a member of Moose Lodge 51,” said the Vindy. “An avid sports enthusiast, he belonged to the Wabash Bear Bowling League and loved playing golf. Robert also enjoyed watching baseball and football.”
In addition to his wife, Robert is survived by children,

- John R. Galazia II and wife Cathy of New Galilee, Pa.,
- David J. Galazia and wife Michelle of Edinburg, and
- Joseph V. Galazia and wife Leigh A. of Wampum, Pa.;
- stepsons, Curtis J. Carlson, Christopher J. Carlson and wife Nicole, and Craig J. Carlson and wife Christine;
- grandchildren Robert Galazia II, Christie Galazia, Ashley Galazia, Kapeka Galazia, Kekoa Galazia, Olivia Galazia, Aaron Fortin, and Victoria Blackington;
- great-grandchild, Riley Galazia;
- and step-grandchildren, Isabella, Samantha, and Skylar.
