MHCV values went up 3.40%. Most of the manufactured housing stocks we track went up. Leaders were:  NOBH 4.71%, CVCO 3.64%, and ELS 2.41%.

CBS Moneywatch tells MHProNews that U.S. stocks climbed up close to record levels on Thursday as technology, materials and energy companies all realized big gains.

The Standard & Poor’s 500 index rose 19.95 points, or 1 percent, to close at 2,088.48. The index is within two points of its closing record of 2,090.57, set December 29.

The Dow Jones industrial average gained 110.24 points, or 0.6 percent, ending at 17,972. The Nasdaq composite climbed 56.43 points, or 1.2 percent, to finish at 4,857.61.

Cisco Systems (CSCO) led the tech sector higher after reporting better-than-expected earnings. Energy stocks rose as the price of oil rebounded following two days of heavy losses.
