The new sales center reportedly will feature five model homes. These will include, “modern floor plans that include amazing features such as large family-sized kitchens, kitchen islands, walk-in pantries, garden tubs/serenity showers and walk-in closets.”
Unlike many MH Community operators, UMH sales centers are able to sell homes not only into their own company-owned MHCs, but also into other communities and they will also sell homes for installation on privately owned property.
Bakken says, “Woods Edge offers its residents many in-demand amenities, such as a newly remodeled clubhouse with pool, fitness center, two playgrounds, four basketball courts, two tennis courts, newly expanded RV storage area and a fishing pond with a fountain.”
UMH has a portfolio of some 98 communities and is operated as a real estate investment trust (REIT). They are one of the largest manufactured home community operators in the United States, and have roughly doubled their footprint in just 5 years. They are currently focused on Midwest and Northeastern states.
