Yesterday we reported on a story from WAFB in Port Allen,  in Port Allen, Louisiana that used the terms manufactured, mobile and trailer interchangeably. We were able to reach Port Allen Fire Chief Rick Boudreaux by phone Wednesday. While he couldn’t confirm the year the home at the Dudes Trailer Park was built, Boudreaux says they were unable to find a HUD Code identifying plate on the home. “It’s a safe assumption,” Boudreaux responded, when asked if he thought the home was built before 1976. “Most of the units there are from the 50s, 60s and 70s.” He noted the community regularly brings in old homes for rentals. “Most of them wouldn’t make a good hunting camp,” he says.
