David Rockwell, an architect know for luxurious restaurants, hotels and theatres is teaming with Fred Carl of appliance company Viking Range to produce a line of luxury modular homes called C3 Design, Inc., according to fastcodesign.com. The first one, “Pinwheel,” is 2,400 square feet, four rectangular rooms arranged around a 500 square-foot interior courtyard, inspired by Rockwell’s growing up in Mexico where outdoor space was part of the home. MHProNews has learned the house has two bedrooms, two-and-one-half baths, a study that can be another bedroom and a ten-foot long marble island, the centerpiece of the kitchen. The outside of the house will blend with the surrounds, whether in the mountains of Colorado, the sands outside Phoenix, or a beach front in Hawaii. ##
