The Henry County Board of Supervisors in south central Virginia will hold a public hearing to respond to the request of Ruben Torrres to rezone property for locating a manufactured home (MH). The property is in a 100 year-old flood plain, as designated by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), according to martinsvillebulletin.
That does not necessarily preclude the home being sited there, more documentation will be necessary before a permit can be issued, although the planning commission and county staff have recommended it be approved.
In addition, MHProNews has learned Hazel Spencer has requested a hearing to rezone 1.31 acres from Suburban Residential District S-R to Mixed Residential District M-R in order to replace a home that was removed with a multi-section MH. The planning commission and county staff have approved this request as well. ##
