After last night’s State of the Union by Democrat Joe Biden (transcript below) and various responses made to it by Republicans including Rep. Juan Ciscomani (AZ-R), who gave his response in Spanish, Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders (AR-R), and deposed President Donald J. Trump (transcripts/videos below), it is a good time for a combination of their respective statements mixed in with a healthy dose of Wacky Wednesday lighter side cartoons and memes. The reasons why will be found further below.
White House resident Joe Biden (D) said in last night’s State of the Union (SOTU) address to Congress that it is “strong.” That’s topsy-turvy even in the view of millions of Democrats, not to mention most Republicans and millions of Independents. According to the latest right track, wrong track for the country polling, some 71 percent of the nation thinks the U.S. is on the wrong track. The Biden SOTU address text as prepared is linked here. Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders response to the Biden SOTU address is linked here, more on that further below. Deposed President Donald J. Trump’s remarks to the Biden statements in video and text are also found further below. A fair statement is that millions are turned off to what’s occurring. Millions of others have been sucked into what has been called a mass psychosis brought on by relentless propaganda. Decades ago, Reader’s Digest began a feature they called laughter is the best medicine. Sometimes humor or sarcasm are effective coping as well as communications mechanisms. Political cartoons and memes can be useful ways to quickly convey even complex issues. The assortment of macro-American topics as well as a look back at manufactured housing industry specific ones are appropriate for this periodic installment or Wacky Wednesday on MHProNews.
Left-leaning MarketWatch noted that Sanders’ said: “The dividing line in America is no longer between right or left. The choice is between normal or crazy.”
Right-leaning Breitbart noted that Sanders referred to her former boss, but never spoke Trump’s name. Trump opened by saying “Joe Biden failed to tell you the REAL state of our union” and then said, “But don’t worry. I will.”
A fresh face in Washington, D.C. is GOP is Congressman Juan Ciscomani (AZ-R). Rep Ciscomani, in reply to the Biden SOTU said in part the following.
When I was a young boy, my family immigrated to the United States from Mexico with one thing: a belief that America is the land of opportunity. Now, I’m the first naturalized American citizen from Mexico to serve in the U.S. House of Representatives in Arizona’s history.
I am proof that the American Dream is worth fighting for.
America is an amazing country. With our new majority, House Republicans will hold the Biden Administration accountable and work to fix the problems our country is facing.”
Be those varied remarks as they may, here are some political cartoons about macro-American issues as well as some memes on wacky manufactured housing related topics. Further below are the various speeches for those ready for those claims and comments.
Political Cartoons and MHVille Memes
Courtesy of the WND News Center to MHProNews are the following.
There are more, of course. But that’s a snapshot of how professional cartoonists have insightfully mocked what’s occurring in our nation.
At the manufactured housing industry level, are the following memes. Merriam Webster says a meme is: “an amusing or interesting item (such as a captioned picture or video) or genre of items that is spread widely online especially through social media.”
The first two memes below are from the Trump Administration era. The SEC investigation has since been settled with former MHI chairman and Cavco Industries Chairman and CEO Joe Stegmayer and Cavco Industries (CVCO) each agreeing to paying a 7-figure penalty.

The next memes are from the Obama-Biden Administration era.
The next memes are from the Trump Administration era.
There are more, of course. But that’s enough of the cartoon and meme illustrations for today of what’s been going wrong in MHVille and the U.S.A.
As promised at the top of this article, here is the transcript of Biden’s 2023 SOTU, per the White House website. These are remarks as prepared. Biden did go off script, as in the example shown below.

In a campaign related email, he said the following.
Friend,
Joe Biden failed to tell you the REAL state of our union.
But don’t worry. I will.
I just recorded a video to tell voters the TRUTH about the current state of our nation under Joe Biden and Kamala Harris.
Please watch my response to Biden’s State of the Union Address.
Biden declared that the state of our union is “strong.”
Either Biden has completely lost his mind or he just LIED to our entire country on live TV – or possibly both.
Biden FAILED to mention the invasion that he and his “border czar” Kamala have allowed to take place on our southern border.
Biden FAILED to mention that his left-wing DAs have released savage killers from jail, creating the HIGHEST murder rate in the history of our country.
Biden FAILED to mention that he’s wasted TRILLIONS of your taxpayer dollars and caused the worst inflation in half a century.
Biden FAILED to mention that his Administration has weaponized the Department of Justice to go after his political opponents – me.
Biden FAILED to mention that children are getting indoctrinated with critical race theory and are even getting MUTILATED through left-wing gender insanity.
Biden FAILED to mention that he has led our country to the brink of World War III.
But the good news is that I am running for President to end the destruction of our country and to complete the unfinished business of making America great again!
Thank you,
Donald J. Trump
45th President of the United States ##

“Republicans believe in an America where strong families thrive in safe communities. Where jobs are abundant & paychecks are rising. Where the freedom our veterans shed their blood to defend is the birthright of every man, woman, & child” – @SarahHuckabee https://t.co/8YHZf3o8Qr

It may seem like madness to imagine that a hip, green, woke agenda are being officially led by an 80-year-old who has friends and foes whispering that he may be wearing adult diapers and is suffering from some stage of dementia. The fact that he won’t release his medical records only amplifies that concern. Most Democrats don’t want Joe Biden to run again, but that doesn’t mean he won’t.
About Mass Formation Psychosis
There are serious people who say we are all participating in perhaps the largest experiment in mass formation psychosis in American history. Per the SWF Institute: “Mass formation psychosis is when a large part of a society focuses its attention to a leader(s) or a series of events and their attention focuses on one small point or issue. Followers can be hypnotized and be led anywhere, regardless of data proving otherwise.” The ongoing repetition of notions, some once mocked as ridiculous, which we the people are now being asked to take seriously is testing how far a ‘free people’ can be pushed. Many ‘check out’ from news or headline related social media, because they think they can’t handle it. But there is another way, which political and social cartoonists have for decades tapped into. Cartoons have a way of conveying just how silly something is, may make us smile or laugh, and yet can help awaken those who have been swayed by the steady drumbeat of implausible behavior that is nevertheless delivered by newscasters with a straight face. It’s Wacky Wednesday, so a mix of macro and manufactured housing related cartoons and memes.
While there may seem to be some hyperbole in the video above, it nevertheless captures and conveys serious concerns about what is occurring in America and our industry. MHProNews, in serious, satirical, and other reports and analysis, will continue to inform the industry and others keen on affordable housing about the often-painful truths that are keeping the obvious solution to the affordable housing crisis alive when the solution has been known for decades.
