From Washington, MHProNews.com has learned that a community there won’t be allowed to expand. According to the Tri-City Herald, the Chinook mobile home park won’t be rezoned to allow expansion. According to the article, the Kennewick City Council rejected a request from the owner to change the zoning from low-density residential to residential trailer park. The 48-unit 11.8-acre community was created in the 1970s. It was re-zoned from a trailer park to low-density residential in 2002 with the park allowed as a nonconforming use.
