In my recent book – Corporate Disconnect – I discuss a number of the symptoms that impact employee performance, healthy growth and consistent profitability. The most common ones are;
- Poor employee retention of good employees
- Ineffective recruiting strategies or processes
- Inadequate or inappropriate feedback
- Communication breakdowns in any direction

- Inconsistency in policies, procedures or approaches

- Top-down and bottom-up communication breakdowns

- Corporate Culture breakdowns or a lack of congruence or consistency
- Personal agendas that override any or all corporate agendas
- General organizational dysfunction
- Poor tension management
- A lack of clear, communicated, consistent and accountable vision and
- Direction, a lack of clear, communicated and reinforced strategies
- Poor customer loyalty or retention
