Chicago-based Zeman Homes, which bills itself as one of the largest privately-owned owners of manufactured home communities (MHC) in the nation, has purchased a 43-acre site near Naples, Florida zoned for a 273 home MHC site. The company recently acquired the 55+ community Caribbean Park, according to what MHProNews has been told.
Although terms of the purchase were not disclosed, Zeman’s Chairman Ed Zeman said, “In recent months, we have implemented an aggressive campaign to expand our portfolio beyond the Midwest with a specific emphasis on growth in the Sunbelt states. Continuing that effort is the acquisition of this significant parcel of land, one that can be developed into a premier manufactured home community.”
According to openpr, Zeman has more than 10,000 home sites in Arizona, California, Florida, Illinois, Indiana and Michigan. ##
